Tom Williams, known for his work in the field of Early Music performance, explores the remarkable legacy of the great Palestrina on the occasion of his 500th anniversary. The workshop features movements from Palestrina's four part Missa Veni sponsa Christi, as well as the much loved motets Tu es Petrus and Sicut Cervus. The workshop also celebrates two of our contemporary choral music birthday boys, John Rutter who is 80 this year and Arvo Pärt who turns 90 in September. It promises to be a fascinating afternoon with emphasis on fun and enjoyment! A reasonable level of sight-reading ability is required, although scores can be sent out in advance of the workshop if requested. Book your place via workshop@cliftonfestival.com
