Collegium Singers are delighted to be working with the newly formed South West Baroque Orchestra, led by Michael Willamson, to present a wonderful programme of music under our Guest Director Andrea Brown. This is a programme of contrasting textures and interest, with each group presenting music from its own repertoire before coming together in the second half of the concert to perform Handel’s thrilling Dixit Dominus, his earliest dated autograph written in Rome in 1707 while still a very young man. There will be Monterverdi motets from the choir, then two of a set of nine Handel arias, collected and published after his death. This will be followed by a performance by SWBO of Telemann‘s Concerto in D for viola da gamba.
