In "Sighs, tears and sweet delights", soprano Carmel Edwards and lutenist Din Ghani continue their celebration of the work of John Dowland who died 400 years ago.
The first part of this programme features "Dowland's people": lute songs and solos associated with named individuals in Dowland's circle. After a sumptuous tea, Carmel and Din will reprise "Dowland: dusk to dawn", a tale of the night told in lute song — which they premiered in May at St Bride's Fleet Street, just around the corner from where Dowland lived and died.
Doors open at 2.30pm. Booking is essential — please contact Kathy to reserve your place.
