The viol is currently being used as a tenor in A, but also plays well in G, or might even be used as a large treble. String length 43 cms. Very pretty instrument.

It is a Renaissance 7 c lute in own padded case. 62 cm SL. Spruce soundboard – pretty lacework back. Fixed frets. Has strap pin. Excellent condition. Bought nearly new to try out lute 4 years ago and now upgraded. Good to start on ( maybe first 1-2 years of playing) and makes a good sound for price level! No maker’s mark, maybe German make.

Experienced singers in Devon and Cornwall wanted to form an innovative, small self directed ensemble.
If you have a shared love of high quality 4 part choral music but due to geography, work or family commitments struggle to commit to year round weekly rehearsal schedules – we’d love to hear from you.
Repertoire can be broad: both sacred and secular, early and contemporary. Singers need to be able to commit to completing the majority of learning and preparation of music at home before getting together for a manageable number of group rehearsals.
Once established, we could then work towards a performance schedule depending on availability and see where it takes us!
