Following my initiative to reclaim Grittleton Chapel from a very sorry state of neglect in 2015, we have now started to have services there, kicking off with a Victorian Carol Service. After much excitement and appreciation of that event, we are now moving forward with an Easter Service on Easter Sunday (March 27th) at 2.30pm. We have joining us our volunteer pastor from Bristol, Jonathan Hunt. In the near future we shall be having a West Gallery workshop at Grittleton Chapel and envisage the Grittleton Chapel Choir becoming a West Gallery Quire! The West Gallery Music Association have said that they will support us with setting up at Grittleton Chapel and, with their extensive knowledge and experience, enable us to use period hymn tunes and guide us regarding historically accurate services. I would very much like this choir to be supported by period instruments played by local musicians and would welcome contact from anyone who would like to support this project. Singers and musicians who'd like to join us would then sign up as prospective Grittleton Chapel musicians and singers for the workshop at Grittleton Chapel.
